In response to the National Framework Strateggies on Climate Change (NFSCC), the following strategies are formulated in order the center mission and goals to be realistic, and these are:

1. Institutionalization through the formation of institutional organization called ESSU-CCAM Technical Working Group. A venue were active faculty of ESSU discuss and building Community of Practice (CoP) for CCA M-DRRM. This may serves also a venue in order to:

  • Facilitate sharing of data and information and peer interaction;

  • Facilitate sharing of data and information and peer interaction;

  • Encourage synergies and collaborations;

  • Promote more CC-related researches and its application for informed planning and decision-making;

  • Foster a community with shared values and peer-review culture; and

  • Monitoring and Evaluation of CC activities initiatives.

2. Advocating on mainstreaming CCA – DRRM. Design activity by hosting congress, conferences, workshop and public forum that enhance community and stakeholders involvement in CCA-DRRM.

3. Conducting Research Development and Extension (RDE) and facilitating sharing of data from other RDE organization and network. This provides data and information for other related RDE activities and basis for LGU planning as response to CCA-DRRM. RDE activity should focus on the following areas:

  • Vulnerability Impact Assessment (VIA) to the identify sectors affected by climate change and climate related disaster.

  • Basic Research on Bio-physical and Socioeconomic related CC and DRR.

  • Policies and Governance

  • Capacity Development and Training

  • Green House Gasses / Industry and Energy Emission Inventory
